Western Australian Youth Concert Band

"The band has helped me not only to grow in in how I play, but also in how I connect to those around me through music and team work. It has helped me make friends who will be with me my entire life. These friends push me to be the best I can be. There is absolutely no other band that can do what our band can do!"

The WA Youth Concert Band inspires young musicians in an encouraging and rewarding environment. The band plays music across a wide range of genres that is carefully selected to educate and challenge the individual. Our goal is to support school music programs by building upon skills already taught. The WAYCB gives students the opportunity to make friends who share the same enthusiasm and who motivate each other to be the best players they can be.

Twice a year the youth have the opportunity to work alongside mentors from the Orchestra and Wind Symphony. Mentors will coach the youth through sectionals, and will play alongside them in rehearsal. Our mentor program inspires young players to work harder and play with more confidence.

Applications for the WA Youth Concert Band are currently closed.
