West Coast Philharmonic Orchestra 2021-22
WA Wind Symphony 2020-21
Our ensembles give musicians unique opportunities to make a difference in the community and perform quality repertoire at a high standard. In the West Coast Phil, West Coast Phil Chorus and WA Wind Symphony, we strive to create the best music possible as we seek to fulfill our mission, changing lives through music. To ensure our ensembles are of a high standard and to give everyone a fair opportunity, all potential members are required to audition.
Our instrumental ensembles have screened auditions annually, allowing both ensembles to make community music at the highest standard possible while encouraging a respectful and supportive atmosphere.
For our 2021-22 season we are delighted to introduce a new mentoring program to the West Coast Philharmonic Orchestra.
Members will be able to further develop their skills as section leaders or ensemble members by receiving expert performance advice by one of our professional sectional mentors.
Mentors will lead two sectionals each throughout the course of the season, providing valuable opportunities to enrich each section’s ensemble work, musicianship and much more!
All mentors are highly experienced musicians, and are also delightful humans! We’re excited about introducing this new program and hope our orchestra members will take full advantage of this wonderful opportunity to keep making this ensemble a growing, passionate experience!
As a member of our organisation you will have the opportunity to be a part of a friendly community of enthusiastic and talented musicians. The ensembles perform a wide variety of repertoire that is carefully selected to not only entertain audiences, but engage, challenge, reward and enrich the performer.
All of our ensembles are lead by our founder and music director, Samuel Parry. A multi-instrumentalist and experienced musician, Sam brings an encouraging and inspiring approach to conducting and motivates the ensembles to reach a high standard in every performance.
Sam Parry is not only an incredible musician and musical director, but also a joy to work with. His high expectations and goals for each rehearsal and performance are achieved in an encouraging, stress free environment. Sam’s vision offers players a once in a lifetime opportunity for many members and we love being a part of it.

“Playing with [the orchestra] is an amazing part of my musical journey. To have met so many like-minded people who love music as much as I do is simply mind blowing. And to be able to share it and help others at the same time is something really truly special.”
