Peter Chan is our principal bass trombonist in our WA Wind Symphony. He is a freelance musician, in orchestras and chamber ensembles around Perth, and music tutor of many instruments. He studied tenor trombone at university which continued to develop his life long love and passion for music.

Peter grew up with a love and deep interest in music. He played piano from a young age, had a longing to play the tuba and would spend his days pulling apart curtain rolls, buzzing in them like a didgeridoo and imitating all the sounds he heard.

Peter’s hobbies include video games (mostly for the music), pulling apart everything to learn how it works, and is in avid cyclist, mechanic and race team member. He is also a keen photographer.
