Stephanie Sheridan is our bassoon extraordinaire in the WA Wind Symphony. She is a full time student in her third year of studying a Bachelor of Music at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. She plans to travel overseas to further her studies into performance and bassoon at the completion of her undergraduate degree and to become a principal bassoonist in a professional orchestra. Stephanie is a representative for WA for the Australasian Double Reed Society, organising events for the double reed players of WA in her spare time.
Stephanie was originally an oboist, and then moved to bassoon at her teachers suggestion, and she never looked back!
Fun facts about Stephanie: She owns over 40 different thread colours for her bassoon reeds. One day she would like to publish fiction novels. She’s a crazy cat lady.
